I am Protestant, but I respect many of the traditions of the Roman Catholic church. Like many others here, i've been struggling with the whole subject of forgiveness. Could you say something about how the protestant theology of forgiveness differs from the Roman Catholic one (not that I understand it completely), particularly regarding absolution. Thank you.
