Doug,

I read with interest you comments on reconcilliation. You may recall that 8 months ago I discoered my husand was having an affair. He ended it and we are doing relatively well. I the other-womand would stay out of our lives we would probably being doing great. Regardless, you and others on this page have helped me deal with issues and unfortunately, I just turned over the entire matter to a lawyer but am confident he will help us resole the matter finally.

Re: Reconciliation. After sixteen years of marriage our recent turmoil has made each of discovery things about the other that we were unaware of. (i.e. Bob does not believe in cathologisim, at least not entirely.) I believe, and have pretty much demanded, that confession to an priest for his mortal sin is necessary and is one of the few things holding back our growth together. He no longer attends church with me, something apparently he was doing "just for me." and says he has come to terms with God and does not need to go to a priest.

Our catholic based marriage encounter was a nightmare. Am I putting too much stock in the rituals of the Catholic church?

Does any of this make sence to you?

Jane
