I can hear the hurt of several years. I cannot
say that you ought or ought not to divorce her.
Yes, divorce is an anathema to God. You entered
into a covenant with her in the sight of God and
other witnesses. However, even under the Old
Covenant all sins were forgiven once a year and we
live under a better covenant with the blood of
Christ having paid for our sins once and for all.

What should you do? Pray, talk it out with trusted
friends and a counselor who is Christian. Most of
all when you feel like you have tested all of the
different ways of responding, then do not look back
and go on with life. Is divorce a sin? Yes. So
is worry, overeating, etc. etc. What do we as
Christians do with these sins and I do not think
that says that one sin is worst than another. The
most terrible sin is to reject Jesus Christ. Apart
from that, this is one time it will have to be you
and God. Don't give up and continue to pray. You
will receive an answer.
