My husband and I are 27 years old. We have known each other since we were only 13 years old. We grew up together.
We started dating at 17, continued through college and we've been married now for 5 years. We have two sons ages
19 months and 1 week old. Three months ago my husband confessed that 2 1/2 years ago he had an affair. Up until
my husbands affair neither one of us had ever been sexually with anyone else. We were each others firsts and only.
When my husband confessed he first said that it was only a one night thing. I asked him if there was anymore. He
said no. He cried and begged me to forgive him. A week or two passed and he came back to say that he had lied,
that there was actually two times. I again asked him if that was all, he said yes. Unfortunately, he repeated
his confession and lie routine three more times. I do not know what to believe anymore. How do I know that the
lies have really ended? He says he loves me and wants me back. He seems to be doing the 3R's that I have read
about in these other messages. He has even posted a message here. He is Matthew on Aug 15. He even has dedicated
his web pages to me and the things he's learned from his mistake. I feel completely blind-sided. I don't know
what to do now. I feel stuck, that my life has come to a screeching halt. I'm still so shocked and numb that
all I can think to ask is, What do I do now?
