I don't think I have any specific suggestions for you on how to forgive betrayal. All forgiveness is difficult for me. Takes me time to think through, grieve and deal with my anger. You posted your note on 12/23. Can you give yourself space for the next few days, then continue to stay the course? You didn't give the details: are you and spouse still in the church you planted?are you still together? are there children and how are they dealing with this? etc. Not suggesting you do reveal this on line but these questions would make a difference. And a further question: are you willing to do the suffering which leads to healing? Hard work during the busy holidays! Is it too goofy to suggest you eat some Christmas cookies, thank God for Baby Jesus and then ask God how to go about being healed? I will be remembering you as I pray.
