I feel the same as you. Your daughter has repented and asked God to forgive her, and you have forgiven her. We as Christians, are to forgive also. If God has forgiven her, than why can't the members of the church forgive her? I truly feel sorry for the people at your church who won't attend her shower, and especially the church itself. The church is supposed to be representing God and his teachings. I would find another place to hold your daughter's shower, and only invite your and hers "true" friends. And if it were me, I might consider joining another church.
