Thank you, Leah for your prayers. I have my father still. He's ill and I'm helping in his care. I don't withhold anything that I can help with on his behalf. I have children and a wonderful husband. My life is very full. I feel that I'm progressing in my journey of forgiveness. Being a person that is given to self-reflection, I always wondered if I forgave completely, for I know that that is necessary for spiritual progression in sanctification. I don't want to be a hypocrite saying that I'm a christian and then holding resentment in my heart. All I know is that Jesus liberates us from bad feelings that we may harbor in our hearts. I'm realizing as I type that forgiveness can happen in HIS strength, not ours. I can try, try , try and it will never happen, but if I let go of my will , the burden can be lifted. What a wonderful revelation. Thanks Jesus.
