Dear Doug,
I have always struggled with forgiveness from the perspective of the Father forgiving me. I have done some pretty unthinkable things in my christian lifetime and uspeakable things in my life before I found the Lord. I guess what I have observed is that we tend to view our Heavenly Father in some respect to our fallible earthly father. So for some psychological reason we can't fully understand unconditional forgiveness...or unconditional love for that matter. I have been on a tangent about unconditional love for some time now. My goal in life is not to seek after the mind blowing experiences that so many christians desire but rather to love my neighbour as myself..unconditionally. I believe when we are able to do that forgiveness will follow. I am interested in your research, what are you doing? I am a psychology major at Trent University in Oshawa Ontario. I seem to be researching more than I sleep these days! God Bless you in all your endeavour to serve Him. Sincerely, Lorraine
